The Public Prosecutor inaugurates the “Hajj and Umrah Prosecution” next to the Grand Mosque in Mecca

His Excellency the Public Prosecutor Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujeb today inaugurated the “Hajj and Umrah Prosecution,” which is located next to the Grand Mosque in Mecca and is responsible for the judicial protection of these two rituals, and the pilgrims and Umrah visitors to the Sacred House,
The “Hajj and Umrah Prosecution” is also responsible for initiating penal procedures related to criminal crimes that violate rituals, or crimes committed against the Holy Mosque in Mecca, verifying that pilgrims and Umrah performers enjoy the rights and guarantees guaranteed to them by law, and activating the role of timely justice that integrates with the rituals of Hajj and Umrah and the status of the Mosque in Mecca. Honorable in the souls of Muslims.
His Excellency the Public Prosecutor noted the great attention, extreme care, and special care given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them - to the holy sites and their pilgrims and Umrah performers. And the just regulations approved by the state - may God support it - preserve the rights of visitors to the Sacred House of God and take into account their interests.
Al-Mujeb stressed the necessity of ending the criminal cases handled by the Hajj and Umrah Prosecution immediately, taking into account the protected interests in quickly ending the cases, and activating measures that would contain behaviors that do not affect the tranquility of the Hajj or Umrah and do not disturb national security or the sanctity of this holy place, in accordance with the provisions of the law. Criminal procedures and its executive regulations, and the judicial powers granted to members of the Public Prosecution.
He stressed the prohibition of the crime against pilgrims and Umrah performers in all its forms, or the exploitation of religious rituals or holy places, which is considered one of the cases in which the Public Prosecution is required to apply the harshest penalties against those accused, asking God - Almighty - to preserve this country and to perpetuate the blessing of security, safety and stability.
