The humanization projects in Madinah's central area reflect the spirit of the place and its urban identity through people-centered designs and Islamic ornamentation inspired by the city's architecture, enhancing the urban landscape surrounding the Prophet's Mosque.
The humanization works included upgrading roads and walkways for pedestrians and persons with disabilities, using natural basalt for paving, and installing more than 700 decorative lighting units, contributing to improved urban quality and enhanced safety and comfort for visitors.
The projects also included planting more than 27,000 trees and shrubs and providing over 300 benches and 151 waste bins with coordinated designs, as part of efforts to reinforce the Islamic identity of the central area and create a sustainable urban environment that enhances visitors' experience at the Prophet's Mosque.
