Since announcing its operational plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season, the Haramain High-Speed Railway has transported more than 670,000 passengers through over 2,900 trips, keeping pace with the growing influx of pilgrims arriving in the Kingdom to perform Hajj rituals.

These figures reflect the railway’s early readiness to serve pilgrims, as well as the level of integration and coordination with various relevant entities and systems. The railway will continue operating at the highest level of preparedness in the coming days to keep pace with heavy movement during the Hajj season.

Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) had earlier announced its operational plan for the Haramain High-Speed Railway during the 1447 AH Hajj season. The plan includes providing more than 2.21 million seats through 5,308 trips throughout the season.

Daily trips during peak periods will exceed 142 journeys per day, helping facilitate the movement of pilgrims between Makkah and Madinah.

The Haramain High-Speed Railway is considered one of the fastest trains in the world. It links Makkah and Madinah through a 453-kilometer route passing through Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport, and King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), with an operating speed of up to 300 kilometers per hour.

The network operates through a fleet of 35 trains, each with a capacity of up to 417 seats.
