Today, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, inaugurated an awareness film entitled “The Journey of a Lifetime,” at the headquarters of the Prince Sultan Academy of Aviation Sciences in Jeddah, in the presence of His Excellency the Director General of the Saudi Airlines Group, Engineer Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Omar, and the Governor of the General Authority. The launch of the film comes within the framework of an effective strategic partnership with the General Authority of Endowments and Saudi Airlines, to raise awareness of the guests of God coming from countries around the world to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals. The film, which was translated into nine languages, presented a number of awareness stories and scenes that were filmed in more than 14 places. site within 7 weeks, and more than 800 major and secondary actors participated in the work, to address all the detailed topics that concern those who go to the Holy House of God, in a simplified and interesting manner that covers all the stages they go through while performing their rituals with ease and reassurance, while the film will be included in the inflight entertainment content package. On Saudi Airlines aircraft, which currently amounts to more than (5) thousand hours of entertainment.
Director of the General Department of Media and Institutional Communication, and Director of the General Department of Awareness at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Turki Al-Khalaf, explained that the film produced by the Ministry will be shown on board Saudi Airlines aircraft through the Hajj and Umrah Channel, noting that it provides a set of educational directions and clarifications about a number of desirable behaviors. During the presence of visitors who are the guests of God in a number of places, such as airports, Haramain Express Train stations, holy sites, and inside the Two Holy Mosques and its squares.
The Ministry’s publications included 13 awareness guides in 14 languages, in addition to awareness videos, numbering more than 30 visual clips, providing an educational dose of a number of legal, religious and health procedures and other topics of interest to the Guest of God during his presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It is noteworthy that the parties that contributed to the production of the awareness film: the General Authority of Endowments, Saudi Airlines, the General Directorate of Passports, the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, the Saudi Railways, the Jeddah Airports Company, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, and the Khadem Institute.
