Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Two Holy Mosques Authority Highlight Integrated Services System

11 Dec 2025

A wide range of services at the Grand Mosque is designed to ease the movement of Umrah performers and enable them to perform their rituals in a safe, well-organized environment. The services include facilitated access through the gates, clear guidance paths inside the Grand Mosque, and digital screens that display crowd levels on each floor. They also comprise facilities dedicated to persons with disabilities such as accessible gates, ramps and wheelchairs in addition to escalators and elevators that support smooth movement while performing the rituals.

To highlight these efforts and raise awareness, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque released a video showing live scenes that reflect the scale of daily work inside the Grand Mosque. The video highlights its area of more than 1.8 million square meters and its capacity to accommodate more than 2.5 million worshipers. It also underscores the high level of readiness required to ensure organized movement throughout its halls and courtyards.

The services inside and outside the Grand Mosque reflect the level of care dedicated to Umrah performers. They also testify to the scale of daily work aimed at providing a smooth, enriching experience that enables Umrah performers and visitors to perform their rituals in comfort and peace from arrival to departure.
