The “Makkah Road” initiative concludes its work in (7) countries, serving (242,272) beneficiaries

The “Mecca Road” initiative, one of the Ministry of Interior’s initiatives within the Program for Serving the Guests of God, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs, concluded its work in (7) countries: Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and for the first time in the Republics of Turkey and Côte d’Ivoire. After all the beneficiaries of the initiative arrive in the Kingdom, to perform Hajj this year 1444 AH.
The "Makkah Road Initiative", implemented by the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with partner agencies, witnessed the service of (242,272) pilgrims, and the number of flights in the initiative's lounges to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina reached (667) flights.
The initiative aims to receive the guests of God and complete their procedures from their countries with ease, starting with issuing the visa electronically and taking vital information, and ending with the completion of passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure, after verifying the availability of health requirements, in addition to coding and sorting the luggage according to the transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom. Upon their arrival, they move directly to buses to take them to their residences in Mecca and Medina, with designated routes. While the competent authorities are responsible for delivering their luggage to their homes.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Guests of God Service Program, and the General Directorate of Passports.
