The Minister of Hajj and Umrah meets with the Turkish President of Religious Affairs

His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, met today with His Excellency the Turkish President of Religious Affairs, Dr. Ali Arbash. This is within the framework of Dr. Al-Rabiah’s official visit to the Republic of Turkey. He is accompanied by a number of officials from the government and private sectors. They represent the system of serving the guests of God. With the aim of informing the Turkish side of the qualitative initiatives, facilities and procedures to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, and to achieve a qualitative shift in services for the guests of God.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah announced that Turkey has joined the countries eligible to obtain an electronic visit visa to the Kingdom and obtain it within minutes, which allows its holder to come to the Kingdom, perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque, with the possibility of visiting other cities of the Kingdom, and staying for a period of up to 90 days during the year. .
It was also announced that seat capacity for scheduled flights would be increased by an estimated 380%, in addition to the start of direct flights from the Turkish capital, Ankara, to Medina, and from Gaziantep Airport to Medina, starting this week, and the announcement of the addition of Saudi Airlines to 100 flights. Additional seasonal travel during the Umrah season to the cities of Jeddah and Medina. Flynas will launch a direct line from Ankara to Jeddah and to Medina, with 6 flights per week.
