The Public Transport Authority emphasized dealing with the regular carrier, coinciding with the Hajj season and the visit of pilgrims and Umrah performers to Mecca, Medina and Jeddah.
The authority indicated that a number of means of transportation have been prepared to facilitate the journey of the pilgrims, including public transportation buses and taxis, in addition to passenger transportation and car rental applications.
In the same context, she indicated that more than 355 buses were prepared for public transportation service within Mecca, and more than 27 buses within Medina, where the first contributed to serving more than 7 million beneficiaries during the last month of Ramadan, while the second served more than a million beneficiaries.
This coincides with the launch of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services guide for transportation during the Hajj season 1445 AH, in which the authority indicated the possibility of identifying the regular carrier through it.
She also stressed the importance of carrying out passenger transport activity in accordance with the regulations and requirements, noting that the violation of transporting passengers without a license amounts to a fine of 5,000 riyals, and that the regular carrier provides many advantages, including safety while traveling in a modern means of transport, and multiple payment methods, including electronic payment.
The authority called for the importance of the cooperation of pilgrims with the campaign teams during the delegation stage, stressing the need to adhere to the buses allocated to them to ensure their safety and facilitate their performance of the rituals.
The Authority affirmed its commitment to serving the guests of God throughout the Hajj season and responding to their reports and inquiries through its official channels, by calling the unified number 19929, or through the X platform via the beneficiary care account @TGA_CARE.
