“Hajj and Umrah” launches the electronic path for pilgrims from within Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia announced, on Sunday, the opening of the electronic path for pilgrims, both citizens and residents, wishing to perform the Hajj ritual this year, as it allowed those wishing to perform Hajj to register in the electronic portal on the Ministry’s website, or by using the available “Nusak” application. On smartphones and tablets for those who meet the conditions, with preference given to those who have not previously performed Hajj.

To facilitate registration, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has made it possible to diversify the possibility of payment, either by paying the full amount upon registration, or through partial payment according to the terms and conditions stated. The Ministry urged registrants to ensure the accuracy of the information when registering data and choosing packages, and not to repeatedly use the mobile number to register for a different application.

The electronic path requires the pilgrim to create a reservation for himself and his companions, wait for a text message with the payment invoice for the Hajj value (full or partial), pay the reservation value within the available period, and issue the permit, provided that the permit is printed through the “Absher” portal after the completion of the steps.

The Ministry noted that contracting and providing Hajj-related services occurs through companies licensed to serve pilgrims from within the Kingdom and listed on the Ministry’s website, provided that registration to perform Hajj is through the pilgrim himself, taking care not to contract with any unlicensed campaigns or companies. The Ministry of Hajj specified “4 packages” at different prices, as the fourth package was set at a value of 3,984.75 riyals (about 1,050 dollars), not including the price of transportation to and from Mecca, provided that the cost of transportation from housing in Mecca to the hair of Mina to throw the Jamarat using buses and then the Mashaer train will be added. Providing services in Muzdalifah, including a “sofa bed” and some services.

While the “2” package, which is priced at 8,092.55 riyals ($2,150), provides accommodation in Mina, with three meals provided, and in Arafat, it provides a place to stay and rest with a buffet lunch.

Saad Al-Qurashi, advisor to the National Committee for Hajj and Umrah at the Council of Saudi Chambers, told Asharq Al-Awsat that the path opens the way for all those wishing to perform Umrah with ease, with the opportunity to choose any packages that have been carefully studied to suit all segments of local society, which differ in terms of The service provided for each package, explaining that the launch of the route was later in time than the previous one, which was launched in the month of Rajab.
