Today, the Royal Commission for the Holy City of Makkah and the Holy Sites opened the “Makkah Our Friendship” event in its second edition in the Hiraa Cultural District, and will continue until the 6th of Shawwal, accommodating more than 15 thousand visitors daily, and offering more than 14 different programs suitable for all segments of society, whether... They were cultural, entertainment and historical programmes.
The event includes the Revelation Exhibition and the Road to Mecca Exhibition, which present visual displays that tell stories of the revelation and the Hajj route throughout history, in addition to folk art displays, falconry shows, and sound and light shows. An area is also allocated for the craftsmen’s market, children’s activities, and many diverse entertainment activities.
The CEO of the Royal Commission, Eng. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed, stressed the importance of such events as they contribute to creating the atmosphere of celebrating Eid Al-Fitr, enriching the experience of the residents and visitors of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, enhancing social cohesion among members of society, reviving our local cultural heritage, and contributing to providing an entertainment environment for various segments. He extends his thanks in advance to all government agencies and the private sector who participated in organizing this event.
It is noteworthy that the “Makkah Celebrates Us” event is an initiative presented by the Royal Commission for the Holy City of Makkah and the Holy Sites in celebration of Eid al-Fitr, in partnership with the Program for Serving the Guests of the Most Merciful, the Municipality of the Holy Capital, the Makkah Chamber, the Kadanah Development and Development Company, and Al-Balad Al-Amin.
