About the Program

The Pilgrim Experience Program is one of the programs through which Saudi Arabia plans to actualize Saudi Vision 2030. The program aims to enable the largest number of Muslims possible to perform Hajj and Umrah in the best manner. It also seeks to provide the pilgrims with a rich and ever-lasting experience by making necessary arrangements in the Haramain (the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Al-Madinah), to actualize Islam’s universal message, to prepare the tourist and cultural destinations, and to deliver high quality services before, during and after their visit to Makkah, Al-Madinah and holy places. Additionally, the program reflects the honorable and civilized image of Saudi Arabia in serving the Two Holy Mosques and the guests of Allah. The Pilgrim Experience Program was launched in 2019 by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – May Allah protect him – as a continuation of the tradition of care for the Two Holy Mosques by the kings of Saudi Arabia since the era of its founder, may Allah have mercy on him. Pilgrim’s Journey

A pilgrim passes through more than 200 points of contact on their journey to the Two Holy Mosques. The program has studied each point in complete detail and redesigned, trough their study, their structure based on the pilgrim’s journey to maximize their experience from the first idea until they return to their country with the best memories, through three stages.

The Kingdom’s celebration is not limited to providing tangible services only; it also extends to enriching visitors’ religious and cultural experiences by supporting the readiness of historical sites and heritage destinations to welcome guests and enhance their visits to those places that witnessed events from the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is home to some of the most prominent historical landmarks and heritage destinations that carry with them an Islamic and cultural legacy for Muslims and the Islamic world, mainly centered in the cities of Makkah and Madinah.
