The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with partner agencies, continues to implement the Makkah Road Initiative within the Program for Serving the Guests of God, one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030, to serve the beneficiaries of the initiative in (7) countries: Morocco, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, and for the first time in Turkey and Côte d’Ivoire. .
The initiative witnessed the service of (151,533) pilgrims from the beneficiary countries, and the number of flights in the initiative hall from their countries to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina reached (415) flights.
It is noteworthy that the Makkah Road Initiative is still continuing its work in the beneficiary countries and aims to complete the procedures for the guests of God from their countries, starting with issuing the visa electronically and taking biometrics, and ending with the completion of passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure after verifying the availability of health requirements, in addition to coding and sorting the luggage. According to the transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom, upon their arrival, they move directly to buses to take them to their residences in Mecca and Medina on designated routes, while the competent authorities undertake the delivery of their luggage to their residences.
