The Minister of Hajj and Umrah holds a working session with his Moroccan counterpart

His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Chairman of the Committee for the Service of the Guests of God, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, held a working session in Rabat today with the Moroccan Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tawfiq, in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Morocco, Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghurairi, and a high-level delegation representing the system. Serving the guests of God from the government and private sectors.
This session was devoted to discussing ways of cooperation to facilitate the procedures for the arrival of pilgrims and visitors from Morocco to the Kingdom, as part of the Ministry’s continuing efforts to raise the quality of services provided to the guests of God, and to enrich their religious experience.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah and the Moroccan Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs signed an agreement to arrange the transportation of the Guests of God from Morocco in partnership between the Moroccan Ministry and Saudi Airlines, which will contribute to raising the level of air transport while ensuring price stability and improving the level of services through a set of qualitative initiatives that serve Guests of the Most Gracious.
In a press interview that followed, His Excellency Dr. Al-Rabiah confirmed that his official visit to the sister Kingdom of Morocco is a reflection of the depth of the brotherly historical relations, and an extension of the continuous cooperation between the two kingdoms, which is witnessing steady growth in various fields, with the direct support and supervision of the leadership of the two brotherly countries.
He pointed out that the visit also aims to inform Moroccan officials of the specific initiatives, facilities and new procedures that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to implement in keeping with the aspirations of the wise leadership, and a translation of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to enable the largest possible number of Muslims around the world to visit the Two Holy Mosques and perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.
His Excellency affirmed that the Kingdom’s leadership and people welcome the guests of God coming from the Kingdom of Morocco, as it facilitated the arrival of pilgrims and visitors, and provided several services to them, including extending the Umrah season to ten months during the year, and opening a “Tashir” center in Morocco, which aims to facilitate visa issuance procedures and reduce... The duration of obtaining it is 48 hours, and those holding Umrah visas can now reside and move between cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a period of up to three months instead of thirty days, in addition to increasing the flight capacity through Saudi Airlines with a gradual increase in flights to 68 flights. Monthly, and reducing ticket prices by 10 percent, in addition to allowing the weights of each pilgrim to be increased by an increase of up to 50 percent.
For his part, the Moroccan Minister of Endowments praised the depth of relations between the two countries, expressing his thanks to all Saudi authorities that supervise the service of the guests of God.
