The Minister of Hajj and Umrah concludes his visit to the Republic of Tunisia

His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, concluded his official visit to the Republic of Tunisia, as part of international communication efforts to introduce the facilities provided to the guests of God coming from various parts of the world.
His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah explained that the visit confirms the keenness of the Kingdom’s government, represented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and all sectors of the pilgrims’ service system, to provide exceptional facilities and services to pilgrims and visitors, in a way that ensures saving time and effort, and raises the quality of service provided to the guests of the Two Holy Mosques.
In turn, His Excellency Tunisian President Kais Saied, during his meeting at Carthage Palace with His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, praised the fraternal relations and historical cooperation existing between Tunisia and the Kingdom and stressed the common will to further strengthen and diversify these ties in the future. On the other hand, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah stressed during his meeting with His Excellency the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shaibi, the Kingdom’s keenness to provide all facilities to the Tunisian guests of God. He also reviewed, during his discussions with the leaders of the Tunisian Republic and Umrah companies, the services provided by the Kingdom to Umrah pilgrims and visitors coming from Tunisia to Mecca. And Medina, which contributed to increasing the number of Tunisian pilgrims last year 1444 AH to 101,858 pilgrims.
In addition, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, announced a (15%) discount on flights during the Umrah season for pilgrims coming from Tunisia via Saudi Airlines, and an increase in seat capacity for flights between the two brotherly countries by (10%) during the Umrah seasons via Saudi Airlines, in addition to launching scheduled flights from the Tunisian city of Djerba starting in December 2023, and operating seasonal flights to Medina, in addition to launching a free transit visa for four days for Tunisian brothers included in the travel ticket via Saudi national carriers.
During his visit, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah opened the “Tasheer” center to raise the quality of services and visa solutions, and reduce the period of obtaining a visa to 48 hours, with the possibility of benefiting from all types of visas, all of which allow performing Umrah, visiting, and touring throughout the Kingdom, which are Umrah visas, Tourism, family and friends invitation visa, and holders of Schengen or American visas.
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah also launched the unified national digital platform, the “Umrah ritual” platform, which enables visitors to choose accommodation, transportation, and flight reservation services, and obtain reliable official information, and comprehensive guides to historical and Islamic sites, both related to the fragrant biography of the Prophet, and enrichment destinations in Mecca and Medina.
The visit witnessed the opening of His Excellency the “Nisk” exhibition in the Tunisian capital, which brings together Umrah and tourism companies from the two countries to invest in the available opportunities and consolidate the relationship, which contributes to raising the level and quality of services provided to Umrah pilgrims and visitors from Tunisia, as the exhibition shed light on the system of facilities and developments in electronic services.
