The Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition 2024 concluded its activities in Jeddah. Which was organized under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the third year, in partnership with the Program for Serving the Guests of God (one of the executive programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030).
The largest event of its kind witnessed the participation of more than 80 ministers and heads of Hajj delegations from various countries of the world, 27 government agencies, and more than 200 service provider companies from inside and outside the Kingdom, decision makers, researchers and service providers.
The conference witnessed the signing of the Pilgrimage Affairs Agreement with 76 countries. The participatory agreement was also signed with the Pilgrimage Affairs offices, which aims to organize baggage operations according to the desires of pilgrims, and the announcement of the signing of 220 agreements between various government agencies, non-profit sector institutions and companies.
The conference and exhibition reviewed the latest developments and practices in providing distinguished services to the guests of God, to facilitate procedures and highlight qualitative projects that improve the quality of services provided in Hajj and Umrah, support entrepreneurship and innovation, and provide qualitative opportunities for them.
The conference brought together officials from inside and outside the Kingdom, researchers and investors through 47 main and interactive sessions that touched on logistics and transportation services, housing and hospitality services, infrastructure and development projects, development, training and qualification, entrepreneurship and investment opportunities, technology and innovation, health care, and highlighting the infrastructure projects that... It contributes to enriching this experience for the guests of God, and was accompanied by 50 specialized workshops.
The Guests of the Most Gracious Service Program participated in a pavilion that varied between introducing and raising awareness of the impact of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 on the journey of pilgrims and Umrah performers, and what 40 government agencies provided, continuing day and night to serve the Guest of the Most Merciful, in addition to displaying a rare copy of the Kaaba’s covering dating back to the year 1356 AH, 1938 AD, which is a gift from King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud - may God have mercy on him.
Visitors to the pavilion amounted to more than 60,000, and they varied among the conference guests, including their Excellencies, heads of delegations, leaders of the private and non-profit sectors, Hajj volunteers, as well as service providers and interested parties.
It is noteworthy that the program for serving the guests of God aims to provide the opportunity for the largest possible number of Muslims to perform the rituals and visit to the fullest extent, and to work to enrich and deepen their experience, by raising the level of quality of services provided, preparing the Two Holy Mosques, achieving the global message of Islam, and developing Islamic historical and cultural sites. Providing the best services to them before, during and after their visit to Mecca, Medina and the Holy Sites, and reflecting the honorable and civilized image of the Kingdom in serving the Two Holy Mosques and the guests of God.
