Deputy Prince of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region inspects the holy sites

In implementation of the directives of the wise leadership - may God protect them - and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the region, visited the holy sites on a tour. A preliminary session, during which he reviewed the preparations of a number of parties and the readiness of the facilities to receive the guests of God during the Hajj of the current year 1445 AH.
Prince Saud bin Mishal began his tour, in which he was accompanied by a number of officials from the relevant authorities, by visiting Arafat, and listened to an explanation about the shelter centers in the holy sites, which number 4, two of which are in Arafat and have a capacity of 9,300 pilgrims, as well as the Al-Mu’aisem shelter center, which accommodates 6,000. Hajj, in addition to three service buildings, and finally the shelter center in Muzdalifah, which accommodates 28,000 pilgrims and contains 5 residential, administrative and health buildings.
The Deputy Emir of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region also visited models of pilgrims’ camps in Arafat and viewed the equipment they contain. Then he moved to the Jabal Al-Rahma area and listened to an explanation about the project to develop and improve the areas adjacent to the mountain, which has an area of ​​200,000 square metres. The project includes public parking lots for buses, lighting the mountain and its surrounding area, and improving... Climate mitigation columns and water fountains.
After that, Prince Saud bin Mishaal went to Muzdalifah Mash’ar and took a field visit to the project to humanize the disembarkation stations in Muzdalifah, which is located on an area of ​​27,000 square metres. It was implemented so that Muzdalifah could accommodate additional numbers of pilgrims, amounting to 18 thousand pilgrims. His Highness also listened to an explanation of the “Providing Green Spaces” initiative. "Which was implemented by Kadanah Development and Development Company in cooperation with the third sector.
His Highness was briefed on the Al-Mashaer Path project (first phase), which is environmentally friendly as it contributes to reducing temperatures. In the project, the courtyards of the Grand Mosque and rest areas in Muzdalifah were developed, and works were also carried out to facilitate pedestrian movement for the elderly and people with needs, in order to facilitate the movement of the guests of God and provide the necessary services. for them.
After that, the Deputy Emir of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region moved to Mina, and inspected the Kadanat Al-Wadi development project, which has an area of ​​33 thousand square meters, and listened to a briefing on the project, the design of which was implemented according to the latest technical specifications that took into account the urban identity of the holy sites, and the site accommodates 37 thousand. Almost a pilgrim.
Prince Saud bin Mishal concluded his tour by visiting the government departments complex located in the Holy Sites. His Highness toured the complex and listened to an explanation of the preparations and readiness to provide its services to the government system, which does not provide direct services to the guests of God as its headquarters. It is located on an area of ​​1.1 million square meters and can accommodate more than 10,000 people. An employee, and its establishment contributed to saving about 23% of the area of ​​Mina hair; It was used to host a larger number of pilgrims.
