The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Directs 24-Hour Access to Qiblatain Mosque in Madinah

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed that the Qiblatain Mosque in Madinah remain open 24 hours a day to facilitate worshippers’ access for prayers at all times.

Governor of Madinah Region Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their continued care for mosques and their commitment to enhancing services provided to pilgrims in the Kingdom.

The governor emphasized that all efforts will be made to ensure the highest level of care and services for the Qiblatain Mosque, recognizing its religious and historical significance and enabling worshippers to perform their prayers with ease and comfort. He noted that relevant authorities have begun implementing the necessary operational measures to ensure the mosque’s full readiness for continuous operation.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh stated that this royal directive reflects the leadership’s keen interest in caring for mosques and ensuring the comfort of their visitors, particularly historical mosques that hold special significance for Muslims.

He added that the mosque is fully prepared for round-the-clock operation, equipped with all services needed to ensure the comfort of worshippers. The minister also emphasized that the ministry continues to implement quality projects to develop mosques, reflecting the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Islam and Muslims.
