Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Chairs Meeting of Permanent Hajj and Umrah Committee

Upon the directive of Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Vice Chairman of the committee Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz chaired a meeting of the committee in Makkah today. The meeting aimed to review and follow up on the work and arrangements related to the Umrah and Hajj seasons.

During the meeting, Prince Saud emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and ensuring coordination among all relevant entities to provide the best possible services to pilgrims from their arrival in the Kingdom until their safe return home. He underscored the need to enhance the readiness of agencies and ensure continuous preparedness to effectively implement operational plans, in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership that places great importance on facilitating the pilgrims’ experience.

The committee reviewed the performance and efforts of the relevant authorities serving Umrah performers during the current Umrah season to ensure that visitors to the Holy Mosque can perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments regarding early preparations for this year’s Hajj season and reviewed the progress of development projects being implemented to facilitate the movement and comfort of pilgrims. Several topics on the agenda were also addressed, and the necessary recommendations were adopted.
