Under the patronage of Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah, the Saudi–Indonesian Umrah Companies Meeting was held today at the headquarters of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce, as part of the initiatives of the third annual Umrah and Visit Forum. The meeting brought together Saudi and Indonesian Umrah companies, with the participation of more than 400 attendees representing several sectors linked to the Umrah and Visit services ecosystem.

The meeting aims to enhance institutional cooperation between entities operating in the Umrah sector in the Republic of Indonesia and their counterparts among service providers in the Kingdom, raise the level of institutional coordination, and unify concepts and procedures, in a manner that contributes to improving the quality of the experience of Indonesian pilgrims and visitors.

An accompanying exhibition was held as part of the meeting, with the participation of 24 exhibitors representing service providers from the transport, hospitality, enrichment destinations, and other sectors related to the Umrah and Visit ecosystem. Participating entities showcased their services, initiatives, and operational solutions, and explored opportunities for cooperation and integration, reflecting the diversity of services offered.

The meeting included specialized workshops addressing several key topics, most notably the development of integrating historical sites and enrichment destinations into Umrah programs; a review of the operational challenges associated with this integration; discussions on the perceptions, behaviors, and preferences of Indonesian pilgrims; and options for designing Umrah packages in line with their needs to further enhance the quality of their experience.

The meeting comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to strengthen institutional cooperation with international partners, raise coordination among entities concerned with the Umrah sector, and develop the services ecosystem provided to pilgrims and visitors, in line with the directives of the wise leadership, in support of improving service quality, advancing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and reaffirming the Kingdom’s leading role in serving the pilgrims.
