Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz chaired today the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah meeting, during which the committee reviewed the status of the current Umrah season, services provided to visitors of the Grand Mosque, and preparations and plans of various entities for the upcoming Hajj season (1448 AH).

The meeting was held under the directive of Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz.

The committee reviewed reports on the status of Umrah performers, and the services provided to them from their arrival until their departure through various entry points. It also reviewed the findings and recommendations of the final report evaluating the performance of government entities involved in implementing plans during last year’s Hajj season.

The committee emphasized the importance of integration, concerted efforts among various entities, and effective coordination, which contributed to the success of the Hajj season, and the resources provided by the Kingdom’s leadership.

The committee also reviewed performance indicators for participating entities and mechanisms for aligning efforts among sectors to enhance coordination and readiness and achieve the highest levels of efficiency in serving the pilgrims.

The meeting addressed several items on the agenda and adopted necessary recommendations.
