The Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched, on Monday, the service of issuing a “visit transit visa” for those arriving by air electronically, which is multi-purpose and aims to facilitate entry into the Kingdom’s territory.
He stated that the Foreign Ministry will coordinate with the relevant authorities, in addition to cooperating with national air carriers, in “facilitating and automating the procedures for obtaining an entry visa.”
The visa allows those who are passing through and wishing to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque, in addition to moving around and attending tourist events.
The service is effective starting Monday by applying for a transit visa to visit “by air” through the electronic platforms of Saudi Airlines and Flynas Airlines.
At that time, the visa application is passed automatically to the unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to process and issue the digital visa immediately and send it to the beneficiary via email.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the “visit transit visa” will be issued free of charge and immediately with the travel ticket, and that its validity extends to three months, and the residence in the Kingdom is for 4 days.
