The “Hajj and Umrah Prosecution” is also responsible for initiating penal procedures related to criminal crimes that violate rituals, or crimes committed against the Holy Mosque in Mecca, verifying that pilgrims and Umrah performers enjoy the rights and guarantees guaranteed to them by law, and activating the role of timely justice that integrates with the rituals of Hajj and Umrah and the status of the Mosque in Mecca. Al-Mujeb stressed the necessity of ending the criminal cases handled by the Hajj and Umrah Prosecution immediately, taking into account the protected interests in quickly ending the cases, and activating measures that would contain behaviors that do not affect the tranquility of the Hajj or Umrah and do not disturb national security or the sanctity of this holy place, in accordance with the provisions of the law. He stressed the prohibition of the crime against pilgrims and Umrah performers in all its forms, or the exploitation of religious rituals or holy places, which is considered one of the cases in which the Public Prosecution is required to apply the harshest penalties against those accused, asking God - Almighty - to preserve this country and to perpetuate the blessing of security, safety and stability.
