The Ministry of Investment launched the Hajj and Umrah Investment Environment Report, in partnership with the Pilgrims of God Service Programme, one of the Vision 2030 programmes, in cooperation with more than 22 government agencies.
The report dealt with the most prominent developments in the investment environment for the Hajj and Umrah sector, reflecting the major transformations in the journey of the pilgrims and raising the quality of services provided, as it included developing the investment environment to raise the participation of the private sector, in accordance with Vision 2030, which aims to improve the system of serving the pilgrims in its three sectors: government. , the private and non-profit sector.
The report reviewed the most prominent historical transformations in the Hajj and Umrah journeys, ways and solutions to facilitate and enrich the journey of pilgrims, Umrah pilgrims and visitors, developing investment opportunities for the Hajj and Umrah sector, facilitating access to investment opportunities in the system, and a comprehensive analysis of the investment system in the Hajj and Umrah sector.
The report also discussed the most prominent regulatory reforms in the system and the incentives provided to attract investments and encourage investors, as the Kingdom harnesses all its capabilities to serve the guests of God and provide the best services to pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims through transformational projects in which all sectors participate, including the private sector.
In order to achieve the goals and achieve a smooth and improved Hajj experience, the report reviewed 13 economic sub-sectors through which the Kingdom works to expand and develop its investment base. It includes: transportation and logistics services, tourism and travel agency services, accommodation and catering, health care, water, electricity, gas and air conditioning, retail, personal services, communications and artificial intelligence, charitable work and religious activities, financial services and insurance, sanitation and waste management, gifting and sacrifices.
The Hajj and Umrah system is witnessing rapid development to become the most stimulating, attractive and high-quality investment environment that reflects the Kingdom’s leadership in developing the investment environment at all levels, and developing investment opportunities in the journey of the guests of God.
