On Tuesday, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued a number of royal orders, including the appointment of Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz as Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with the rank of minister, and Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz as Emir of the Medina region with the rank of minister.

Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz was appointed as his successor with the excellent rank, and Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Abdullah bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz was appointed as Deputy Emir of the Tabuk region with the excellent rank, and Prince Khalid bin Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz was appointed as Deputy Emir of the Asir region with the excellent rank, and Prince Miteb bin Mishal bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, deputy governor of the Al-Jawf region, with excellent rank, relieving Prince Mansour bin Muhammad bin Saad II Al Abdul Rahman, governor of Hafar Al-Batin, from his position, and appointing Prince Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki bin Farhan as his successor in the rank. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques called on the competent authorities to approve and implement his orders.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also issued an order appointing Prince Faisal bin Salman as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Fahd National Library.
