The Minister of Hajj and Umrah concludes his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman

Today, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, concluded his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, at the head of a high-level delegation, during which he met with officials, businessmen and relevant authorities from the Omani side, to discuss aspects of cooperation in order to improve the experience and satisfaction of the guests of God coming from the Sultanate. Oman.

During the visit, His Excellency witnessed the holding of a number of joint workshops in the fields of “packing and crowd management,” “enriching and facilitating the experience,” in addition to “the rights of Umrah pilgrims,” with the presence and participation of Umrah leaders from the Saudi and Omani sides, and the leaders of Umrah companies.

His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah indicated that all facilities have been provided to citizens and residents of the Sultanate of Oman to reach the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and visit the Two Holy Mosques and perform the rituals with ease, expecting an increase in the number of arrivals from the Sultanate following the specific initiatives that facilitated the arrival procedures, once again welcoming the Omani brothers to visit the Two Holy Mosques. The Two Holy Shrines, the rest of the Islamic historical areas and tourist destinations in various cities of the Kingdom.

During his visit, His Excellency met with His Highness Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, to inform him of the Kingdom’s efforts in providing enabling facilities and services that guarantee an easy journey full of spirituality and comfort for the guests of God.

Dr. Al-Rabiah also met with His Excellency the Assistant Grand Mufti of the Sultanate, Sheikh Kahlan bin Nabhan Al-Kharusi, where he reviewed with him the most prominent efforts and initiatives that aim to enrich the faith and cultural experience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. He also met with His Excellency the Minister of Interior of the Sultanate of Oman, Hamoud Al-Busaidi, to consolidate paths of cooperation and joint coordination between the two countries to facilitate A journey to perform rituals from the Sultanate of Oman to the Two Holy Mosques.
In an official meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah discussed with His Excellency the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Maamari; Strengthening cooperation to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims from the Sultanate, and enrich their experience and journey of faith.

In the final statement of the joint discussions, the head of the Office of Pilgrims Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Sultan bin Saeed Al Hinai, reviewed the future arrangements for Umrah affairs in the Sultanate of Oman.

Earlier during the visit, Dr. Al-Rabiah met with the leaders of companies providing Omani Umrah travel services, to review opportunities to improve the experience of the guests of God from the Sultanate, and to encourage service providers to take advantage of digital services and new facilities. After that, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, accompanied by the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, inaugurated the ceremony. “Nusk” platform exhibition, where the exhibition received more than 300 visitors to learn about the services provided by companies organizing Hajj and Umrah trips, which aim to improve the experience of the pilgrims coming from the Sultanate.

Minister Al-Rabiah explained that the comprehensive development witnessed by the Kingdom, thanks to God and then thanks to “Saudi Vision 2030”, was reflected positively in the level of service for the guests of God, in terms of digital transformation and enhancing the role of innovation in facilitating Hajj and Umrah services, stressing that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - is determined to make more efforts to develop the Hajj and Umrah system, and the Kingdom will always strive for and aspire for the best, in order for those performing the obligatory prayers and rituals in Mecca and Medina to have an exceptional experience at all levels.
