The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a new feature enabling full access to the Nusuk app without consuming internet data, in cooperation with Saudi telecom providers stc, Mobily, and Zain. The initiative aims to ease the journey of pilgrims and enhance their digital experience during Hajj and Umrah.
Ministry spokesperson Dr. Ghassan Al-Nuwaimi stated that this step allows users of local SIM cards—citizens, residents, and visitors—to use the Nusuk app and all its services without requiring an active data plan or internet connection. These services include issuing permits, booking services, and accessing various digital features provided by the app. The feature represents a qualitative leap in empowering pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors to perform their rituals and navigate services with ease and convenience.
He noted that this development will positively impact the visitor experience, as users can benefit from core services such as issuing permits for Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, booking Haramain High Speed Train tickets, navigating through Nusuk maps, using the Nusuk AI feature, and submitting reports and inquiries—all without consuming mobile data.
CEO of the Nusuk platform Eng. Ahmed Al-Maiman said that the cooperation with telecom providers is a major step forward in enhancing the digital experience for pilgrims. It facilitates journeys for Hajj, Umrah, or visits to Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, improves crowd management, provides instant access to essential information and services, reduces the number of lost individuals, and speeds up the verification of permits upon entry.
This initiative reflects the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's commitment to advancing digital transformation in Hajj and Umrah services and developing an integrated technical infrastructure that accommodates the diverse needs of users, ensuring seamless access without technical or financial barriers.
