Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser welcomed on Saturday at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah the first flight of pilgrims benefiting from the “Makkah Route Initiative” for the Hajj season 1447 AH.
Saudia flight No. 5807 arrived from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and was received with an official ceremony and a comprehensive service system reflecting high readiness to host pilgrims.
Pilgrims’ arrival procedures were completed in record time through the initiative, one of the Ministry of Interior’s programs under the Pilgrim Experience Program, part of Saudi Vision 2030.
The initiative enables completion of entry formalities, health requirements, and baggage processing at the departure hall, allowing pilgrims to proceed directly to buses transporting them to their accommodations in Makkah without waiting at passport counters or baggage claim.
Minister Saleh Al-Jasser said the transport and logistics system operates under an integrated strategy that uses modern technologies and artificial intelligence to deliver high-quality services.
He noted that these efforts reflect the leadership’s care for the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors and support the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
